Our quest to decide to best song ever made for The Simpsons continues.
Round 2 had some brutal matchups – “Canyonero!” vs. “The Stonecutters Song”, “See My Vest” vs. “Oh, Streetcar”, “Amendment to Be” vs. “We Put the Spring in Springfield”. That last one was the closest vote of the whole round, with “Amendment” coming out ahead 41-to-33.
I wasn’t expecting that – I thought “We Put the Spring in Springfield” would put up a stronger fight. But “Amendment to Be” shouldn’t get too cocky, because now it’s going up against odds-on favorite “Monorail”, which absolutely obliterated the competition last round, defeating The Simpsons theme song 81-to-5.
