(We will not set clearly delineated boundaries on who qualifies as a ‘person of color.’ As a starting point, this thread uses the definition of ‘non-European heritage of sufficient prominence to affect one’s navigation of a society built on white normativity.’ However, we recognize that there are identities which skirt either side of the divide. If people feel that they meaningfully experience the identity of being a person of color, then they are welcome to participate.)
I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the ongoing disaster occurring in LA right now. My condolences & thoughts are with everyone there. I know we have a few avocados in the area 🫂. Hope you y’all are safe & okay.

PROMPT: Sir Simon Milligan suggested we should have a reverse wrap-up celebration by looking forward to BIPOC media at the beginning of 2024. So keeping up the tradition, this week we’re looking at 2025 BIPOC Media (Films, TV, Music, Games, Books, etc) you’re looking forward too?
The coming week is likely to be fairly unpleasant to put it mildly. Any ideas on a topic for next weeks thread?
Another upcoming media thread? It seems I forgot to post an ‘Influential BIPOC media/Seminal BIPOC TV shows over the years’ thread (thanks to Accidental Star Trek Cosplay for the suggestion) due to Carl Weathers passing last year.1another person I forgot to acknowledge in the header images a few weeks ago 🤦🏾♀️ Perhaps I could post a Seminal or influential BIPOC TV show thread then?
