There are three types of Puffin, and the Tufted is among them. They typically sport bold colors including yellowish tufts extending from the area behind their eyes, though interestingly they lose this feature along with most of their coloring during the winter/feeding season:

Their range basically covers the northern Pacific Ocean, including coastline of the US, Canada, Russia, northern Japan and North Korea. Indeed, some of you may have had the pleasure of seeing this bird in the wild.
