There is a comet above your head tonight. I saw it last night. It was amazing. For me, it shown brightly about an hour after sunset. It is very possibly the best viewing since Hale-Bop, which of course inspired the hit song by Hanson. And let me tell you that song is indeed a bop.
Anyway, tonight’s comet’s name is nothing catchy like mmmBop. It’s called C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS). That’s ridiculous. What is that, an Ayn Rand reference? How do you right a song about that? We need a better name. A catchier name. An iconic name.
I propose HEATHCLIFF THE COMET.
