Welcome to the challenge of August, which is going to be all about Time; mostly fiction dealing with Time Travel, but also other topics to do with Time, and the manipulation thereof.
When time travel is involved a very common occurrence is for the main character to meet people they’re related to – ancestors, descendants, or probably most of all, a different temporal version of themselves. And so todays prompt is, what are your favorite stories involving characters interacting with themselves? Or with their extended families, detached from the present?
Bonus Prompt: Whose past/future self was too different to be believable? And what family members were too needlessly similar to the main character?
Extra Bonus Prompt: What character would be fun to see meet themselves/their kin, and who should have never done so?
Paradox Bonus Prompt: Any past versions of yourself you’d like to meet, and what advice would you give yourself? If you dared?
