Did you ever hear The Tragedy of Scrat’s Lion King Toys? I thought not. It’s not a story The AV Club would tell you. It’s a Burger King legend.
Young Scrat loved The Lion King. He was so excited for its release, he collected all seven of the toys that Burger King had for it. There was a wind-up Simba, a Rafiki that moved his eyes, and even an Ed who “laughed” when you pushed his legs down. Well, really, it was more of a squeak. But Scrat didn’t care. He loved them.
He had so much fun that the only thing he feared was losing his Lion King Burger King toys, which, eventually of course he did. Unfortunately, one day when his friends came over to play, they used them in the sandbox. But that wasn’t what broke them. His mom tried to “clean the toys” by washing them in the sink. Ironic. She was trying to save them, but instead she ruined them.
