That’s more like it! Round 1 of the Battle of the Bands starts now. We have 64 acts, which are paired up in head-to-head matches. In each match, upvote the one band you think should move on to the next round.
Despite being open to any acts form any media, pretty much all of the acts that made the bracket have their origins in television or film, or at least have made an appearance on TV or in a movie. Also, as just a point of interest, about 20% of the entrants come from the world of animation.
On a sad note, yesterday’s play-in round resulted in our having to say good-bye to two bands that just didn’t quite make the cut. Homer Simpson’s grunge band Sadgasm, and sultry toon singer Jessica Rabbit were knocked out early. Let’s give them both a big round of applause!
