Let’s discuss any and all music here. Got a new artist who’s rocking your boat that you want to talk about? Post a video! Found out about that unearthed Coltrane album that has the jazz freak in you losing your mind? Lay it out for us! Have a theory about what your favorite band might do for their next album? Let’s hear it! Anything and everything music-related goes here.

This week’s discussion prompt comes from a suggestion by The Avocado’s very own Pastyjournalist:

What is an album that is not considered a classic now – but you think may be considered a classic in ten or twenty years time?

As Pasty put it in their original post: “In the year 2034 – pick an album that came out recently, made a minor splash, but over the years, had an In The Aeroplane Over the Sea effect where it’s now regarded as a classic and is absolutely worshiped. The only caveat is that you can’t be personally invested in the album… it has to be an album that currently does not have an impact on you, but you could feasibly see that album becoming a beloved classic.”

I’m in favor making Pasty’s caveat optional, as at least personally I’m not sure if I am knowledgeable enough to write about any recent albums or artists that I don’t actually care about in this context – but at the same time, maybe it could be fun (or terrifying) to try to predict what the 2034 version of the “nu-metal reappraisal” might be!
