Morning Politocadoes!
Multiple Republican Congressman should be in jail right now.
Alright, well, that’s probably true on any given day but it’s absolutely true today.
Led by Noted Multiple DUI-haver and Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, 48 House Republicans stormed the SCIF where the deposition of Laura Cooper, deputy assistant secretary of defense, was occurring behind closed doors in a SCIF, a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility. This deposition, part of the larger impeachment inquiry, was a committee member-only deposition and thus not open to every member. This is the way it’s always been done. Trey Gowdy once threw out Darrell Issa from one of these sorts of depositions during the Benghazi hysteria because he wasn’t on the proper committee. Top secret information is being discussed here and the possibility of a congressman being targeted for foreign influence increases the more they know. Therefore, it’s best to limit the number.
But then here comes Matt Gaetz and his gang of morons barging in, cell phones in hand, taking pictures, video and tweeting about barging in on Adam Schiff’s phony witch hunt or whatever. They claimthat they’re being shut out of the investigation, but I guess it never occurred to them to contact their GOP colleagues who are on the committees in these depositions, but okay. These actions compromised the SCIF and delayed the deposition by several hours as congressmen refused to leave. In fact, they ordered pizza, Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and soda. The SCIF has to be swept for potential bugs and check needs to be done on all of the congressmen’s cell phones. So really. These dorks better not have any incriminating information on there.
Violating the integrity of a SCIF is considered a threat to national security given the classified information that is discussed in them. In fact, you can be sentenced to up to a year in jail or be fined.
No, you really cannot bring your personal electronics into a SCIF. Any SCIF. This is a big deal — here's why c/o @TomRtweets:https://t.co/jFlK2zAvSR

Now, I’m of the opinion that these jerks need to be punished. Like, Sergeant At Arms at the very least shoulda thrown them in the jail they actually have at the capitol . In fact, Rep. Bennie Thompson, Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, sent a letter to the Sergeant-At-Arms requesting he take action regarding the security breach. But I can also see why they didn’t. It was a Futile and Stupid Gesture. It was a stunt. 13 of these guys sit on relevant committees to question witnesses and review documents. House Minority Leadr Kevin McCarthy was aware of the plans.
And so was the President.
So, essentially, the President had his goons disrupt and delay the deposition of a witness in his own impeachment inquiry which is trying to ascertain whether he abused his power.
This is where we’re at kids. But is it possible for us to dance further into the flames? Let’s find out today!
