On this day in 1966, Dark Shadows, the Supernatural Gothic American Soap Opera premiered. It’s last episode aired on April 2, 1971.

The story of Dark Shadows begins with newly hired governess Victoria Winters arriving at Collinwood, the Collins’ estate in Collinsport, Maine in search of her mysterious origins. She is soon caught up in the strange events and mysteries that seem to surround the Collins family. Eventually, Barnabas Collins, the vampire cousin from England, arrives and adds even more mystery and drama to the family.
