DC Comics and Marvel Comics both have a multiverse. Same Earth – different dimension ( or is that Sliders?)
The main Marvel Universe is designated as Earth 616.
According to the Marvel Wiki, “the reality of Earth-616 has gone through eight different incarnations, all triggered by different instances of multiversal renewal, which constitutes in the destruction and re-creation of everything there is.”
Secret Wars 2015 was supposedly the end of Earth 616 as we comic lovers have known it for 80 years. Some things changed (like Miles Morales taking up residence on Earth 616 – a refugee from the Ultimate Comics Universe) while others remained the same.
