This is the round of 16 for the Early Years generation of video games, covering pre-85 games including the Atari 2600, Intellivision, ColecoVision.

- The most upvoted game was Ms. Pac-Man, who faced little competition from Tapper. This was also the biggest blowout in this round despite Tapper’s personal endorsement and presence in the header — but it’s hard to deny that Ms. Pac-Man deserves to go far.
- The least upvoted games were Adventure and Super Breakout. Adventure suffered from being pitted against vote juggernaut Donkey Kong. Super Breakout suffered a similar problem as it was up against the iconic Galaga, although its big sibling Breakout did make the cut.
- The least upvoted game to make it to the next round was Marble Madness, which one by one vote over Missile Command in the closest match of the round.
- The most upvoted game to lose was DigDug, which was up against Joust in another very close match that seemed difficult for many to decide.
