Good morning and welcome to the Pits nomination and voting thread for The Kirby Award for Best Comic Book, The Mary Worth Award for Best Comic Strip or Web Comic, and the second-annual Akira Toriyama Memorial Award for Best Manga.
You may nominate entries for all three awards, but are not required to do so. For each category in which you are participating, clearly label the award name and then add your list of up to ten nominees beneath. (There is no minimum number of nominees that your list must include.) If voting for more than one award, please do so all in a single post if possible to help keep the comments section organized.
Manga Award Note: Last year’s nominations seemed to go pretty smoothly, so I think I will keep the eligibility guidelines the same. A series is eligible to be nominated if at least one chapter or volume was released in English for the first time during 2025, but I know that translation timing can make this complicated so I am flexible if you have any questions or concerns.
The voting period will remain open until noon EST on 12/28. The winners will be announced alongside the other winners of The Pits on 12/30 and will be calculated by adding up your lists (10 points for first, 9 for second, etc. with 5 per nominee awarded for unranked Top 10 lists). The preference is for ranked lists to aid in determining a winner, but you are not required to rank them.
