Hello all. I’ve been toying with whether or not to publicly fangirl over the return of my youth, but you’re reading this so the demons have won.
Pop punk is back! That’s right, many of the favorites from our youth are returning this year with brand new music, brand new tours, and brand new merch. Here’s a comprehensive list of upcoming albums:
Yellowcard – “Better Days” (Oct. 10, 2025)
First up, we have the band straight from Ocean Avenue! I love the song linked above and as a bonus, the album was produced by Travis Barker, who also contributes drums across the record. The pop punk pedigree is strong here.
Motion City Soundtrack – “The Same Old Wasted Wonderful World” (September 19, 2025)
Everything is alright indeed! It’s amazing that Justin is still rocking the same hair in 2025. Oh and the song is good too.
Good Charlotte – “Motel Du Cap” (August 8, 2025)
Some of you will be mad at me for including this band, as they’ve always been a little more pop than punk. But the truth is that this band has always been great at the little things and I’m excited to see what they’ve cooked up for us.
The All-American Rejects – TBA
This band has been making headlines lately with their unorthodox house shows, bowling alley shows, and shows just about anywhere you want them to play. Their upcoming album has not yet been formally announced, but each moment we have to wait gives me hell (can I stop this song title bit yet?)
The Ataris – TBA
This band is incredibly underrated. You definitely remember their “Boys of Summer” cover though. I’m excited for the album… if it ever comes out.
