Here’s hoping for good news from last night.

Rao goes down!!! From Chris Geidner of lawdork: BREAKING: The D.C. Circuit, on a 2-1 vote, bars the CFPB from terminations pending appellate review of a district court injunction. Judge Pillard (Obama) and Katsas (Trump) take the action over the dissent of Judge Rao (Trump).” So The Idiot isn’t allowed to RIF a bunch of CFPB employees. And Katsas didn’t carry water for him. Good.

From Kyle Griffin: “Sen. Jon Ossoff has signaled support for impeaching Trump. On Trump’s meme coin last week: “When the sitting president of the United States is selling access for what are effectively payments directly to him, there is no question that that rises to the level of an impeachable offense.” Also good. I know it feels futile now, but not impeaching him because we don’t think we have the votes is a dereliction of duty, IMO.

From Kyle Cheney and Josh Gerstein at Politico: “How a Trump administration crackdown on foreign students unraveled” https://tinyurl.com/4hzk6e2k

So that’s my three. And all of them good news, in my opinion. Or at least on the way to potential good news? Look, as my math joke telling uncle would say “at least the second variable on the curve is positive.” Which means we are pulling out of the nose dive. We are no longer accelerating down, we are still heading down, but we’re starting to pull up.

Yeah, not much of a joke.
