Welcome to the 30 Day challenge of November which is going to be all about Role Playing Games of all shapes and sizes, whether produced in Japan or USA, tactical or real-time and more.
Do you save the kitten, or kill and eat it in front of its owner? Many RPGs ponder such moral conundrums, and can offer the player ways of expressing their choices. Sometimes this is done through posing direct choices, but it can also be tracked more subtly by the player doing specific things or not. The whole gaming experience can change depending on whether the game thinks you’re a goodie or a baddie, and so the main prompt of the day is: Whats your best and worst RPG morality systems? Do you even engage with such role-playing, and if so, do you usually lean Bad or Good?
Bonus prompt: Any RPGs where you got shunted down a Good/Bad path against your will? The most unintuitive Good/Bad flags?
New Prompt Plus: What are the most memorable moral choices in RPGs?
Optional Postgame prompt: Best and worst cases of endings tied specifically to being good or bad?
