Love & Friendship, director Whit Stillman’s sparkling adaptation of the novel Lady Susan by Jane Austen, is a terrific film, with instantly quotable dialogue and a superb cast led by Kate Beckinsale and Chloe Sevigny. Tom Bennett, as the lovably clueless Sir James Martin, steals almost every scene he’s in. It’s a gem of a movie.
