In the end, this had everything it needed to go all the way in the Avocado’s first tournament to determine the best video game, especially the fact that it’s both nostalgic to many yet still holds up well today.

This tournament was a blast to run thanks to all of your participation! I especially enjoyed the debates over what makes a game great:
- A game that’s historically important but doesn’t hold up well, or a game that’s less critical to gaming history but still plays great today?
- An innovative but flawed original, or a sequel that’s been polished to perfection?
- An 80+ hour RPG masterpiece, or a brilliant 2 hour indie gem?
- An amazing experience with friends, or a stellar single player game?
