The round of 64 had some pretty tough fights, but we have to now say goodbye to several wonderful protagonists. They may not be the overall favorites, but they’re someone’s favorite in their heart of hearts, and that will just have to be enough.

Stray observations:
- Spike had the most upvotes and the highest differential against Yukino. He’s the one to beat
- The highest upvoted character to not advance was Madoka, with 15 updoots. She lost to Alphonse by 2 points
- There were no ties this time (I wisely chose to not vote unless to break ties, which is a smarter way of doing this), but there were two matches with only a 1 upvote difference: Keroro vs Emma and Goku vs Roger Smith. Roger and Emma just barely squeaked by and are now up against some tough opponents
- Chiyo Sakura has the distinct honor of advancing with the fewest votes (9)
- Holo vs Edward Elric killed me. I am dead now. My heart is broken
