John Myers is an English photographer and painter who photographed mundane aspects of British life within walking distance of his home using a 4×5 large format camera. Between 1973 and 1981 he self-published these “Boring Photos” in a series of books documenting Middle England. It was only in later years that the striking originality of his work and the photographic skill involved, became better known to the public through a series of exhibitions.
