Quick Thoughts: I remember them announcing this at E3 and all of us in the thread being like, “THIS ISN’T A VIDEO GAME. BURN THEM.” But with hindsight and the virtue of not being all hyped up by the dancing Ubisoft Panda, this looks super cool. I would watch a show by Rob McElhenney and Megan Ganz about Salieri, Abed, and Ash from Hey Ash, Watcha’ Playin’? doing tax law. So having them make a show about something I’m actually interested in is really exciting.

Quick Thoughts: They had me completely when they showed the double proposal from Sense8. I remember crying when they brought back that show for a final episode because I realized I would get to see Nomi and Amanita get married.

I do find it interesting that the decline of Glee‘s quality and reputation means that it doesn’t even make the trailer. Whatever we think of that show now, it is kind of a huge step in Queer history in television. Genuinely happy to see Mr. Ratburn there though.

Quick Thoughts: Do you ever think about how if they had run Viola Davis in the Best Actress category instead of supporting that La La Land/Moonlight thing would never have happened? That kind of ran through my head when they were showing all the Black actors who won Best Supporting Actor/Actress. That and how Halle Berry is only Black woman to win Best Actress. I keep thinking about her speech and how she talked about her win opening doors. And she has but Hollywood still likes to shunt those performances to a supporting category even when they are clearly leads. Anyway, my brain is rambling. This doc looks interesting and has Ava Duvernay’s seal of approval. I’m excited for it.

Also I love you Nathalie Emmanuel and I hope Justin Lin actually gives Ramsay something to do in fnine.
