Sports Corner – May 22, 2019

Let’s here it for Bodexpress, who fulfilled the dream of horses everywhere and ran free, unburdened with his jockey, at The Preakness. Between Bodexpress throwing his jockey (who is thankfully okay) and Maximum Security bumping other horse at the Derby, this is clearly the year for horses behaving badly.  I wonder what to expect at the Belmont Stakes.  (Congrats to War of Will on his win after being one of the bumped horses at at the Derby.)

Elsewhere…

  • The Durant-less Warriors have devoured the Blazers.
  • Brooks Koepka is almost devoured by Bethpage Black but holds on, and cements his place as golf most dominant (if least popular) player.
  • The Bruins and the Blues await the Stanley Cup finals.
  • Is it me, or has the baseball season being underwhelming once again (and not just because the Mets have once more devolved into the Mutts)?

As ever, all topics welcome.
