Werewolf 91: Guilty Party! – Day 3

After that eventful accusation session, everyone’s gotten a little tuckered out. Rightfully so: shit was wild, man. You decide to take a post-supper nap to recover, and The Commodore wholeheartedly agrees. Rich people, am I right? You try to find a cozy section of the mansion to snooze in, not considering for a moment that a sleeping detective is much more easily tossed than an awake detective.

Sam Spade is one of the smarter ones. He stays awake while the rest of you sleep, taking a long drag from his cigarette in one hand while investigating the heart-shaped mask he was given in the other. It’s entirely too red for a subtle guy like him. Still, it adds charm. And that Valentine fella was pretty charming, to say the least. Though there was something about him that was a tad off–

Before he can ponder further, he’s whisked away from where he stood in the hallway– all that’s left is his fedora, fluttering cartoonishly to the floor, and the heart-shaped mask laying next to it.

JOSEPHUS BROWN (Sam Spade) has been sent to the parlor. He was Judith Prudence (THE JUDGE/WOLF)!

The Boxcar Children are up as well. They’re not thinking about cool hard-boiled detective things, though. They’re telling each other ghost stories! The youngest one gets a little bit spooked and hides behind his older sister. He’s, like, 6 or something, so that makes sense.

They’re having so much fun that they don’t notice when they’re lifted up and gently carried to the parlor. (You shouldn’t toss children, they’re delicate.)

MAYELBRIDWEN (The Boxcar Children) have been sent to the parlor. They were detectives (VANILLA TOWN).

The parlor’s getting pretty crowded by now. It’s hard to study, or even eat those delightful heart-shaped finger sandwiches Valentine set out for everybody. And the door seems to be locked from the outside, so no one’s getting out.

At least the detectives in there make for good company.

There’s a knock on the door. As you all peek from various doorways to look at the door, The Commodore goes to open it. Before he can open it enough to see who it is, a man cartwheels through. His name is Warren Wolfe. Get hyped.

Captain Video has officially replaced Owen1120! Welcome him aboard!

Before the door closes behind Warren, a second, taller man strolls in. He’s wearing a black trench coat with red accents stitched on. His collar and the black ski mask-ish thing he’s wearing hide his face: at least, any part of him that the heart-shaped mask can’t hide.

Oh dear. Meet Mr. Valentine.

He lets out a pompous, yet villainous laugh. “Hello, Dorian. Love what you’ve done with the place.”

“Mr. Valentine!” The Commodore shouts. “In my own home! How dare you show your… mask… here, after all you’ve done! You absolutely ruined my party!”

“That was the point, dingus!” replies Valentine, probably smiling under his mask. “But that’s not what I’m here for. I’m here to drop off something.” He reaches into his coat and unveils something skull-shaped.

please ignore the anatomy on this one, gang

“Looking for this?!”

You all gasp in unison. That’s Spooky’s mask!

He throws it to the ground before you can react further. “My spies are winning, detectives– and you know it! Say goodbye to your precious head detective, Commodore! And your entire detective agency!” He lets out another laugh, exactly the same as the first one, turns on his heel, and struts out. The door slams behind him.

“Little does he know that the new head detective is still free from the parlor… Don’t worry, everyone. I know you can root out those spies! At least, I hope so…” With that, Dorian heads back to the kitchen. You side-eye each other, already forming new theories.

[spoiler title=’Rules’ style=’default’ collapse_link=’true’]

  • Roleplaying is encouraged, and players must make at least 3 game-related comments a day.
  • Please don’t be mean to each other.
  • Role order goes: Bodyguard>Nightkills>Wolf Roles>Investigators>Veteran.
  • I reserve the right to change things slightly to make myself look less like a fool, but you’ll be notified if this happens. It probably won’t, but that’s what we said about The Room, so,
  • also the usual rules + bonus conditions for neutrals. neutrals win alongside townies or wolves, whether they win has no bearing on everyone else winning
  • If there’s a tie, the daykill target is chosen via RNG between all tied players.

[spoiler title=’Actual Powers!’ style=’default’ collapse_link=’true’]

  • 15 11 Detectives (Town)
    • 9 5 Vanilla Town (No powers)
      • Includes 1 inactive Serial Killer, to be activated during the game
    • Butch Johnson, the Bodyguard
    • Charlotte Dickens-Johnson, the Vigilante
    • Ling-Ling Johnson, the Investigator
    • Kid Riddle, the Spy (the better kind)
    • Pheobe Dickens, the Interrogator
    • Max Dickens, the Veteran
  • 4 3 Mr. Valentine’s Lackeys (Wolves)
    • Madeline Ash, the Spicy Wolf
    • Judith Prudence, the Judge
    • Ed Mission, the Recruiter
    • Morgan Harvest, the Chemist
  • 2 Neutrals
    • These people win if they fulfill their agendas, but don’t affect the town v wolf struggle
    • Thaddeus Bilge, the Butler
    • Dolly Bianca, the Terrible Nurse

TOWN

Townies want to keep the banquet running smoothly so the next head detective can be announced. They also probably want to be the head detective.

  • Bodyguard: Can choose to “protect” one player each night. If their protection target is attacked by any killing role, this player will die instead.
  • Vigilante: Two-shot night kill.
  • Investigator: Can target one player each night, and is told if that target is a scum or non-scum player
  • Spy, but the okay kind: Can target one player each night, and is told if that player has a role or not. Neutrals who have fulfilled their agendas will read as unroled.
  • Interrogator: Can privately talk with one player each night. The two share a QT, and the Interrogator’s identity is hidden (by using a burner QT account)
  • Veteran: Can see who “visits” them (uses their role power on them) each night.

WOLF

Wolves have been wooed by Valentine’s sneaky ways, and were told to stop the reveal of the new head detective at all costs. But not to harm Dorian.

  • Spicy Wolf: Vanilla wolf, but they’ll read as the one who “visits” a player as a wolf kill. Will mock you for using mild sauce at Taco Bell.
  • Judge: Appears as innocent, but roled. An investigator’s nightmare.
  • Recruiter: One-shot recruitment power.
  • Chemist: Roleblocker wolf.

NEUTRALS

  • Butler: Has a certain target they want to daykill. This target will always be a townie. AGENDA: Wins when their target dies during the day. Loses if they don’t die, or die at night.
  • Terrible Nurse: Just wants to die, man. Can nightkill someone who votes for them during the day if they are daykilled. **If they don’t choose a target, I choose for them. NO SURVIVORS.** AGENDA: Wants to be daykilled, but being eaten by wolves doesn’t sound too bad.

The Perhaps Serial Killer, They Aren’t Too Sure If They’re Feeling Down For It Yet will be chosen when a town-aligned person fulfills a certain requirement.

Twilight will be at 8:00 PM EST on Sunday, May 5th. I hope none of you are out partying. McGruff would have something to say about that.

(To those of you who won’t be around at Twilight, I sincerely apologize. The only other option would be to have it be early on Monday, then write the next day while I’m at school. That would mean using my phone for WordPress, while actively trying to hide it from my teachers. Ew.)
