The release date of Mike Judge‘s magnum opus (or is that Extract or Idiocracy?) Office Space 

This workplace comedy starred Ron Livingston, Gary Cole, Jennifer Aniston, David Herman, Ajay Naidu, Diedrich Bader, and Stephen Root as Milton.

Although it was not a box office hit (the movie just barely made its budget money back), Office Space would become a cult classic that would find its way into the collective consciousness of harried and underpaid employees everywhere.

It has cemented its place in the annals of pop culture. A co-worker of mine has a red Swingline stapler at his desk.

Come on, who HASN’T asked someone they know if they have a case of the Mondays?

It’s scary how life imitates art imitates life.

Anyone that works in an office can tell you how Office Space hits too close to home.
