I signed up for this Day Thread whilst drunk and can’t remember why. Despite some fabulous suggestions for content (ranging from “famous Percivals,” to “the history of spicy sweet chili Doritos,” to “Warrior”), I’ve decided after much no thought to share definitions for some of the words resulting from spooky’s adjectives thread, so that we all might learn something. In short, blame spooky.
Crepuscular — of, relating to, or resembling twilight; dim; indistinct.
Pulchritudinous— physically beautiful; comely.
Callipygian — having well-shaped buttocks.
Nacreous — lustrous; pearly.
Perspicacious — having keen mental perception and understanding; discerning.
Brobdingnagian — of huge size; gigantic; tremendous.
Louche — dubious; shady; disreputable.
(This is what comes up for “louche” in Google Images. *shrugs*)
Lugubrious — mournful, dismal, or gloomy, especially in an affected, exaggerated, or unrelieved manner.
Bargemaster — owner of a barge.
Have a wonderful day, you lovely bunch of Avocados!
