– Amanda, a production manager from Massachusetts, counted on Alex for the correct pronunciation of her last name (Levreault);
– Bucky, a travel writer from Florida, tried to be the Birdman of Easter Island; and
– Kyle, a music teacher from Colorado, was in a British-style band (no trumpets or French horns). Kyle is a six-day champ with winnings of $127,203.

Kyle controlled the action, but missed DD3, leaving the door open for Amanda to potentially break up his runaway. However, she wasn’t quite able to get there, so Kyle couldn’t be caught going into FJ with $20,200 vs. $8,800 for Amanda and $4,600 for Bucky.

DD1 – TOYS & GAMES – This classic drawing toy was once called Telecran, still its name in France (Kyle won $2,400 on a true DD.)

DD2 – 8-LETTER WORDS – c. 1666 a British work used this word for a literal barrier; a 1971 text on operating system principles gave it a new sense (Kyle won $4,000)

DD3 – AUSTRALIAN HISTORY – 15-year-old Isabel Letham won fame as the 1st Aussie one of these after Duke Kahanamoku plucked her from a crowd in 1915 (Kyle lost $3,000)

FJ – FOLKLORE – In legend, he called all the animals together but only 12 came, including a rat and a dragon

Everyone missed FJ, with Kyle dropping $2,000 to win with $18,200 for a seven-day total of $145,403.
