Snubby Awards: 1970 Results/1969 Nominations

We reach the beginning of the Auteur Decade and near the end of the Snubbies (until the 2018 edition is forced to deal with the Best Popular Movie idiocy). While Catch-22 dominated the nomination round, it was upset in a few categories here, and Barbara Loden won a weak Best Actress field with only 4 votes, the lowest winning total in Snubby history. Here are your winners:

Best Cast: M*A*S*H
Best Voicework: Eva Gabor, The Aristocats
Best Stuntwork: Beneath the Planet of the Apes
Best Snubbed Supporting Actor: Robert Duvall, M*A*S*H
Best Snubbed Supporting Actress: Kim Hunter, Beneath the Planet of the Apes
Best Snubbed Actor: Donald Sutherland, M*A*S*H
Best Snubbed Actress: Barbara Loden, Wanda
Best Snubbed Director: Mike Nichols, Catch-22
Best Snubbed Picture: Little Big Man

Now, onto the ’60s! As always, suggest any film or performance that wasn’t nominated for an Oscar, and upvote as many as you feel are deserving. Top five vote-getters in each category will be our nominees, which we’ll vote on next week. (Probably. I’m on vacation, but will probably have time to throw the nominees up on the site)
