Jeopardy! recap for Mon., Jul. 23 – Let’s meet today’s contestants as we head into the final week of the season:

– Neel, an environmental engineer and consultant from Florida, wants to go for a run in every state;
– Hollie, a medical researcher from Massachusetts, hosted Shakespeare-reading parties; and
– Dave, a director of technology from Pennsylvania, has a cat named Merv Griffin. Dave is a one-day champ with winnings of $26,200.

Dave fell out of a tie for the lead when he missed DD2, but he made an even stronger bet on DD3 to regain first place and impressively secured a runaway on the last clue. Going into FJ it was Dave with $22,600, Neel at $11,200 and Hollie with $5,000.
