As we all collectively sigh with relief from having survived 2017 (well, except for maybe Taylor Swift), we who indulge in pop culture can look forward to that which comes with every new year: the promise of many, many new movies.

This year isn’t looking quite as busy as 2017 in some regards (but don’t worry, 2019–which has Frozen 2, Wonder Woman 2, Star Wars 9 and The Lion King–will more than make up for it), but it still gives us more than a few big tentpoles to look forward to. In addition to Avengers: Infinity War (which will almost certainly the highest grossing movie of the year), we also have Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, The Grinch, Wreck-It Ralph 2, Ready Player One, Solo: A Star Wars Story, The New Mutants, Mary Poppins Returns, Aquaman, and, of course, God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness.

So…what’s your most anticipated movie of 2018? For me it might be The Incredible 2, which I’ve been wanting to see ever since the original came out in 2004. While part of me is a little disappointed that the teaser trailer was somewhat underwhelming (we already knew that Jack-Jack has powers, and even had an entire short film about it), the level of excitement I have for Brad Bird returning to helm a Pixar sequel which people have actually been asking for has me giddy to no end.
