Senator Tiberius Cato had left a poor impression upon his captor since his initial insults, threats, and general disobedience in the immediate aftermath of Hadrian’s entrance. Cato was ultimately turned upon by some of his own allies in the Senate, although there was hardly a consensus in the room. There was certainly no love lost between Hadrian and Tiberius; in fact, Hadrian relished this hateful man being his first opportunity to further cull the ruling class of Rome. Hadrian drew his gladius from its scabbard and demanded that Tiberius face his death with dignity and manhood. Tiberius stood up, and as he knelt to the floor and presented his neck to his executor, he looked into Hadrian’s eyes, peered into the soul of one of the many downtrodden that he had looked down upon for so very long.
“Heed my warning, proud warrior. I may have failed you and others tonight, but the very least I can do is give you this, to assure you that I was never the real enemy, and hopefully point you towards the true ones, even with my. . .limited investigation. I was loyal to the city’s vigiles all along, planning to undermine and ultimately depose Servius after exposing his corruption. Read this note and follow my trail.”
Hadrian quickly snatched the parchment from his grasp and handed it to one of the surrounding servants to hold onto for the time being. He had not been expecting to feel sympathy for the man before him, but despite those newfound feelings, he could not turn back now. Could not show his weakness to these hostages so soon. He plunged the gladius through Tiberius’ neck, and quietly watched as the blood spilt out before him.
Banner Thief / Tiberius Cato is dead. He was the undercover Vigile/Cop.
More troubled by the sight of Cato’s death than she had anticipated, Tatiana retreated to her quarters. She was visibly shaking. This was no man she had any previous concern for, but it was now apparent that he could have been of great benefit to Hadrian’s pursuits and everyone else’s potential survival. When one of her fellow servants appeared, she paid it no mind, as the room was not hers alone, after all, but when the small blade was drawn from their sleeve, she had just enough time to register and jab out wildly with her fists a handful of times as the blade was sunk into her throat.
Hadrian eventually sent another servant to retrieve her so that they could begin the discussions anew, but Tatiana’s body was soon found growing cold on the floor. Her role in Hadrian’s revolt notwithstanding, a cursory search of Tatiana’s quarters made it clearly apparent that she took no part in the various, interlocking schemes of the Roman underground.

Remember: Attack arguments, not people. This is a game. Have fun, but also respect when someone is playing seriously. Everyone has a different playstyle and you’ll figure out yours along the way.
I will be flexible with regards to your language, its modernity versus RP-appropriateness, as long as everyone remains committed to role-playing and remaining firmly in character throughout. The psychology and motivations of your characters take greater priority over approximation of period language.
Anyone not familiar with the first Toga Terror roleplay and interested in this is encouraged to read all of the pages for it to better familiarize yourself with the characters and narrative. I can provide the links for these.
